Birefringent Wedges -- For Fiber-Optic Isolators

Deqing Micro-optics provides LN wedges based on crystal's birefringent property to control and isolate the back light transmission in fiber optical isolators. As show in the following drawing, two birefringent wedges are used together with a rotator to construct the core of a fiber optic isolator.
